The JMEF Fluid Energy Jet Mill (Spiral Air Jet Mill) utilizes high-velocity compressed air or inert gas jets to pulverize solids through pure particle-on-particle collision. With zero moving mechanical parts in the grinding zone, there is zero heat generation and zero metallic wear contamination, making it the industry standard for pharmaceutical APIs and heat-sensitive chemicals.
Dry compressed air enters specially angled tangential grinding nozzles at sonic velocity. Feed material introduced via a venturi injector is captured in the high-energy vortex. Particles collide at sonic speeds, breaking upon impact. An internal aerodynamic classification zone automatically allows only target sub-micron particles to exit.
