Engineering Overview & Design Highlights
Jay Mahakali Engineering & Fabricators specializes in the design and heavy fabrication of Vertical Industrial Pressure Vessels. Manufactured in our Vatva GIDC, Ahmedabad facility, these vertical vessels optimize floor space while providing superior hydrostatic head and complete gravity draining through bottom dished head nozzles. Fabricated to ASME Section VIII and IS 2825 standards.
Working Principle & Mechanical Operation
The vertical cylindrical geometry utilizes cold-formed torispherical dished heads welded to heavy rolled steel plates. Four structural pipe legs elevate the vessel for effortless gravity discharge or connection to process transfer pumps. Equipped with top safety relief valves, sight inspection ports, side elliptical manways, and instrumentation taps for real-time pressure and level monitoring.
Salient Features & Technical Advantages
-
Compact vertical footprint maximizing plant floor space utilization.
-
Sturdy structural pipe legs or skirt mounting designed for high wind and seismic load stability.
-
Precision dished ends ensure optimal stress distribution under high internal pressure and deep vacuum.
-
Manufactured in prime SS316, SS304, or Heavy MS with Mill Test Certificates (MTC).
-
Full Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Radiography, Ultrasonic, and Hydrostatic testing up to 1.5x design pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions About Vertical Pressure Vessel
Why choose a vertical pressure vessel over a horizontal vessel?
Vertical pressure vessels save valuable plant floor space and allow 100% total gravity draining without dead spots, making them ideal for high-purity chemical and pharmaceutical operations.
Do you provide ASME and IS 2825 documentation with the vessel?
Yes, every JMEF vertical pressure vessel is delivered with full fabrication drawings, design calculation sheets, Raw Material Mill Test Certificates (MTC), Radiography (RT) films, and hydrostatic inspection test certificates.
